Terms of Service
The agreement between you and Floyd Guevarra for using FalCAD and buying a FalCAD subscription.
Last updated 25 October 2026
Who we are
FalCAD is made and run by Floyd Guevarra, an individual operating as a sole proprietor in the Philippines ("FalCAD", "we", "us"). You can reach us at [email protected].
These terms cover the FalCAD web app at app.falcad.com, the desktop app, the website at falcad.com, and the FalCAD cloud service that stores cloud projects and runs real-time collaboration (together, "the service"). By creating an account, using the cloud service or buying a subscription you accept these terms.
Using FalCAD without an account
You can use the editors, simulators and exporters on your own device without an account. Projects you keep on your device stay there. We do not receive them unless you upload them as cloud projects.
Your account
- Give a real email address and keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- You must be old enough to enter into a contract where you live, and at least 16 years old.
- Tell us at [email protected] if you think someone else has used your account.
- A team (organization) belongs to its owners. Owners and admins decide who joins it and who may edit its projects.
Your designs
You keep all rights to the designs, files and comments you put into FalCAD. You give us permission to store, copy, process and show them only as needed to run the service for you and for the people you share them with. You can export your data at any time, on every plan.
You must have the right to upload what you upload. Do not use FalCAD to store or share material that infringes the rights of others.
Acceptable use
Do not:
- break the law or help others break it,
- try to get into accounts, projects or systems that are not yours, or test our security without written permission,
- disrupt the service, overload it on purpose, or get around plan limits or rate limits,
- resell the cloud service or offer it to others as your own service without an agreement with us.
We may suspend accounts that put the service or other users at risk. Where we can, we tell you first and give you a chance to fix it.
Plans and payment
The Community plan is free. Personal Pro and Team Pro are subscriptions billed monthly in advance at the prices shown on the pricing page. Team Pro is billed per editor seat.
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
When you buy a subscription you buy it from Paddle, which then provides it to you on our behalf. Paddle's buyer terms apply to the purchase. Paddle charges your payment method, collects sales tax or VAT where it applies, and sends your receipts and invoices. Payment details go to Paddle and never reach FalCAD. For questions about a charge you can also use paddle.net.
- A subscription renews automatically each month until you cancel it.
- Adding Team Pro seats is charged right away for the rest of the current month. Removing seats lowers the price from the change on, as a credit.
- If a renewal payment fails, Paddle retries it for a while and your plan stays in place meanwhile. If the payment still fails, the subscription ends.
- We may change prices for future periods. We tell you at least 30 days before a change affects you, and you can cancel before it does.
Cancelling
You can cancel at any time under Manage billing on your account page, which opens Paddle's billing portal. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you already paid for. After that the account moves to the Community plan.
A subscription that ends never locks you out of your work. Local projects keep working, and you can still open and export your cloud projects. Creating more cloud projects than the Community plan allows, or editing with more people at once than it allows, needs a paid plan again.
Refunds
You can get a full refund within 14 days of your first payment for a subscription. The refund policy explains how it works and how to ask for one.
The service
We work to keep the cloud service available and your data safe, and we keep improving FalCAD. Features may change over time. If we remove a paid feature you rely on, we tell you in advance and you can cancel.
FalCAD helps you design electronics, but you remain responsible for checking your designs before you build, sell or use them. Simulation results, rule checks and fabrication files are aids, not a guarantee that a circuit or board works or is safe.
Warranty and liability
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties beyond those in these terms, including warranties of fitness for a particular purpose.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost revenue or lost data, and our total liability for any claim about the service is limited to the amount you paid for it in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer under the law of the country where you live.
Ending the agreement
You can stop using FalCAD at any time. To delete your account and your cloud projects, write to [email protected] from the address you sign in with. We may end or suspend your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms. If we end the service as a whole, we give you at least 30 days to export your data and refund any period you paid for and cannot use.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For changes that matter, we tell you by email or in the service at least 30 days before they apply. If you keep using FalCAD after that, the new terms apply.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Philippines. If there is a dispute, please write to us first so we can try to solve it. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live and can bring a claim there.
